Although I'm a Caribou fan, this place is convenient. It's your typical Starbucks. The only thing that would be nice is a bigger sitting area. To sit at the "bar" you have to squeeze in the back corner.

They just can't get it right at this place. Maybe it's the constant traffic but the baristas just can't seem to keep it together. It's especially uncomfortable when they argue in front of customers.

This place is sweet. I come here to unwind 4 days a week after work usually. Great drinks. Nom Nom.

This Starbucks lost their manager and has seen a lot of staff turnover. Unless you go early during the morning shift, lower your expectations. They can no longer make simple drinks like an espresso macchiato. Hopefully they will return to the former glory someday, but for now the stores at Arlington Heights and Palatine, Arlington Heights and Golf, or the racetrack are better choices nearby.

This is, as pointed out by previous reviews, a fairly small Starbucks. It does, however, have a very nice patio during the warm seasons that centers you in the middle of the shopping and movie bustle of the plaza. The inside seating is for about 12-14 people and fills quickly. Their hours are later than most in the area, which I appreciate. Winter closing hours are 9:30pm through the week (Sun-Thur) and 11pm on Fri & Sat. The on thing that makes this Starbucks stand out against some of the others is their staff. They are always very welcoming and friendly and actually engage in light conversation. There is plenty of parking in the plaza parking lot, on the street and in the well lit garage located under the plaza.

Wonderful, polite service! The morning shift is fantastic. Although the parking can be a bear at this location depending on the time of day, I will generally drive out of my way to get coffee at this location.

Always happy when I go there! I only wish the space was larger so there was to more space to sit down and relax...

Pretty standard Starbucks with fabulous way over-priced coffee.... There are 2 drawbacks to this place: it's size (tiny) and parking. Other than that - it's your run of the mill Starbucks.

At this point, I find it somewhat comical how many different ways they can screw up your order. I have been to this location probably 10 times, and 8 of the times there has been a delay/mistake in the order. I'm not really sure why--I don't revise the order to be anything more complicated than requesting skim milk, and I speak perfect English. I echo the previous reviewer's experience that they do not know how to make make chai tea lattes. Some of the women in the morning are a bit rude. They had to finish their conversation before taking my order, and one of them lectured me on the ingredients in my order. It was very bizarre. I have been to much better Starbucks.

So small...so very very small. Drinks-wise, this is no better or worse than any other Starbucks I've been to, but if you're planning on hanging out or getting some work done inside while sipping on your latte, you'd be best off searching for another option. Between the difficult parking (there's a free below-ground garage if the outdoor lot is full, but hoofing it from there to Starbucks can seem like more trouble than it's worth) and the extremely limited space (really, who decided that this would be a good design for a Starbucks in a busy downtown area?), the risk of not getting a seat may be too high to make specific plans to go here for a sit 'n' drink 'n' study-or-talk.

What's in a name? That which we call a Starbucks. A Starbucks by any other name would taste as sweet. Well that's not exactly how Shakespeare wrote it, but you get the idea. Starbucks delivers a consistent product that tastes delicious from coffeehouse to coffeehouse. Yes, I agree the brand brings people in, but in addition, the taste brings them back for more. Plus, that green and white designed cup is stamped in your mind forever. I tend to debate pulling over at this Starbucks, located in downtown Arlington Heights, whether by distance its the convenient option or not. The parking lot, that you must circle numerous times, for this Starbucks is a royal pain in my behind. I usually have to circle two or three times before possibly finding a spot. All the while, I contemplate just parking in the two parking spots reserved for California Pizza Kitchen's curbside pick up. I mean, walking in and out for my latte will take all of 4 minutes. How about a Starbucks curbside pick up, eh? There is street parking, although about the same difficulty to find a spot. There is also a large parking lot below ground where you may easily find a spot if you don't want to torture yourself driving in circles just so that you may park within steps to your frothy latte. As for the interior of this Starbucks, it is a small and somewhat cold environment. I do not find it an inviting space to study or get work done while you enjoy your beverage. Once the summer rolls around, I do find their outdoor seating area to be a nice spot to sit, sip, and surf the internet, or whatever your heart desires.

I'm not from the area, but I'm having a ring custom made at Keswicks next door. So I've been in the area often and have visited this location 3 Wednesday's in a row now, and each visit has been awesome. I can honestly say I've never had a memorable experience at any Starbucks before visiting this location. That's not to say I've had a bad experience at other locations, just not memorable or great enough to prompt me to review a 'chain' like Starbucks...I'm rambling now aren't I? Anyway, on all 3 visits the staff have all been friendly and helpful, but one member in particular is a stand out, in a huge way. His name is Cody. Each visit he's been amazing and I feel like he's gone above and beyond for us in some way each visit. This guy is awesome, and fantastic at his job. I plan to personally call the manager here and let them know about our experiences and compliment him. My fiancé has tipped on each of these visits, and he's never done this at any other Starbucks we've been to. This is a great little Starbucks with a great staff.

Starbucks is Starbucks. My drink is always consistent but the space itself is lacking. The layout is horrible and when it gets crowded, it's impossible. If it's too crowded, I don't even go it. I have also seen other people walk away as well. In top of that the service is usually slow which makes it all the more just bad... It's a shame because it's got a great location and could be so much more.

First of all, I used to be a barista. I hate reading negative reviews because, HEY PEOPLE IT'S JUST COFFEE. Every store is different. Every environment is different. Do you know what it takes to make lattes? to be happy ? to pretend sometimes? to have a terrible manager? to have stress that you have to warm food, make coffee, mark cups, have everything not dirty in case the health department comes, condo bar clean... the list goes on. So now that I stated that then I would like to say I have been coming to this Starbucks for three years. I know the baristas inside and out. I have known both managers, although I prefer Amanda, that have worked here. They have never gotten my drink wrong. They have never steered me wrong with anything here. During their rush they get stressed because they are understaffed which is not their fault, it would be the managers fault. I love all of these baristas in the morning a lot. I recommend coming here, sitting on the patio or by the bar, and reading your newspaper. Anyways, best Starbucks i have ever been too. I have been to quite a few. Don't listen to the negative reviews about messing up a Chai Latte, maybe it was a new barista and she was struggling but they always give a free drink coupon here if they mess up and a new drink. Most stores barely do that. Remember, ITS JUST COFFEE!

Why review a Starbucks? Because they are all different. I've always had good and efficient service here. The inside space is small, very small. Good luck finding a place to sit and hang out. The outdoor patio is large with many small tables, but little shade. That said, it is set back from the street and blocked from traffic noise by the building. There are even three park benches. This location is right downtown, near the train, theaters, shops, and restaurants. Parking is ample in the downstairs garage. Don't waste your time circling the tiny lot. Just don't. Great place to walk or bike to. Best Starbucks in the local area for outdoor hanging out.

This is the WORST Starbuck's I have been too. I may not like their coffee but I love their Chai tea lattes... ok it is a STANDARD ITEM on their menu... I don't know how they could possibly mess this up... but for the hundred plus times i have been to Starbuck's I actually RETURNED this latte and asked them to remake it.... REALLY!!!! I SWEAR!!!! And even after they made it the 2nd time, it was horrible!!! How could you possibly screw this up??? It is only the mix, the skim, & hot water and who knows what they did?????????? WOW!!!! definitely doesn't take a brain surgeon for this one.... I do want to be the type person giving '1 star' ratings because someplace has to be REALLY EXTREMELY TERRIBLE i think for that type of a rating....but wait MY STORY gets better than the bad drink.... ok soooo.... i ordered my drink, and was walking around the cute but not exciting downtown Arlington Heights... and it was about 10 min after i ordered my drink and left the store, since i was heading back back to Chicago, so i decided to run in to use the restroom, and my car was parked right outside the Starbuck's.... and keep in mind i DID ORDER AND PAY FOR MY drink, WHICH I BOUGHT THERE at that exact location for sure less than 1/2 hour earlier... well.... wow, i ran in, and my friend was holding my drink outside, and i when i was leaving the staff was actually yelling at me 'THANKS FOR STOPPING IN" "YOU ARE WELCOME" ..... OMG I was so appalled by this obnoxious behavior. Hello??? Even if you did NOT remember that I was just in your store... wow, did anyone teach these people any etiquette? Could they possibly consider the impression they were leaving on the patrons they had seated in their place of business? OMG I just was there ordering 2 drinks... and then I come back and they are literally yelling at me? So I am not allowed to use the restroom??? AND i did buy something there....Imagine the impression they were leaving... on everyone. And I am sure these people do not have any idea that bad word of mouth travels faster than a positive experience.... I have been to the Coffee place - Beaners ( I think, something like this, I can't remember) but it is on Dunton, in Arlington Heights as well...and granted they do not have a Chai Tea Latte that is compatible to Starbucks... the ambiance of this coffee house, and the sincere friendly service of the staff here would bring me here 100 times to 1 over the Starbucks one block away. And I will be sure to remember no matter how much I am craving a "venti non fat chai tea latte..." I will NEVER go back to that Starbucks. As a side note.... the indoor seating & size at this Starbuck's location is lacking considering its location. This has to be one of the smallest Starbuck's I have been in - but one of the busiest. There is a Starbuck's on Golf / Arlington Hts Road in the area, and if I am traveling to downtown Arlington Heights, and I was craving Starbucks, I would stop here and pick up my Latte BEFORE I made it to the downtown area. It is not even worth the aggrevation of dealing with the rude staff and the line. OR... if you have time, I would just go to the Starbucks in Downtown Barrington, I have never had a problem there, and they have ample seating if you are planning to sit and stay....

As others have stated, a very nice outdoor seating area. A little cramped inside, but you grab your drink, sit outside, and get your work or play on while staying connected to the WiFi. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient. I went about ten minutes before close (I hate being that guy), and they gave us 2 free protein packs because they were going to throw them out. Nice gesture. This alone has kept me coming back.

Went in last night for a late night treat. Justin (i think that was his name but I'm also horrible with names so don't judge me if I'm wrong ;) ) helped make my drink. I've worked in customer service/medicine for years and always appreciate great customer service. He was very polite and helpful! Thanks Justin :)

It's tiny, but the drinks are always good and the staff is always nice. There's free parking in the lot and down in the garage below - but be extra careful about where you park in the garage. It's not very well marked and some spots require a permit until 6pm.

Love this place. Nice being able to walk into a place that takes the time to meet and learn their customers. I'm here 5 days a week. That should say it all
